Attention New Hires: New employees must enroll within 30 days of their hire date. If an employee fails to enroll within the 30 days, you will be unable to enroll in coverage until the next Open Enrollment period in the Fall for the effective date of 09/01 OR if you experience a Qualifying Life Event. Examples of qualifying events include birth, death, marriage, divorce, adoption, and loss of other coverage. Documentation must be provided for life events and all changes must be made within 30 days of the event.
Health Insurance can be effective on the date of hire OR on the first of the month following the date of hire. Please be aware that you choose the date of hire as the effective date for health insurance, you will be charged for the entire month.
